Day Two
Izmir, Pergamum & Assos
Orientation tour in Izmir (revelation 2,8-11). Drive to Pergamum, the magnificent Hellenistic city of Lysimachus. Visit 330 meter high acropolis, foundation of the Zeus altar, temples, the steepest theater of Anatolia with 10.000 seats, the remains of the second largest library of the Hellenistic world after the one in Alexandria which originally possessed 20.000 rolls of books and where the parchment paper was first invented. Dinner and overnight in Assos. (120km)

Day Three
Assos
In the morning, drive to Troy, Homer's legendary city, in which Schliemann discovered the gold treasure of the King Priamos, return to Assos, today's Behramkale. Here Aristotle created a philosophy school and St. Paul came and founded a Christian municipality in 58 A.D. Visit of the fortress, theatre and the other remains which all set before the wonderful view of the Aegean Sea. Dinner and overnight in Assos. (280 km)

Day Four
Assos & Pamukkale
Travel through three ancient cities, which
are ranked among the Seven Churches of the Apocalypse , Thyatira (Rev 2.18-27) in Akhisar, Sardis (Rev 3. 1-6)., and Philadelphia (Rev 3.7-13) Drive through Bintepeler (thousand hills) to Pamukkale. Thyatira was a famous commercial town in the antiquity. Sardis was the capital of Croesus, where the first coins were minted. Visit of the Gymnasium, the synagogue and the shopping street. In Philadelphia the remains of the city walls and the church are to be seen. Bin Tepeler (thousand hills) was the old Lydian necropolis, with hundreds of tumulus burials that were covered with earth as they were small hills and forms a spectacular scene on to the northwest of Sardis. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale. (390 km)

Day Five
Hierapolis, Tavas & Leodikeia
Hierapolis, Tavas and Laodikeia are also mentioned in the Bible (Rev 3,14-22). The antique healing city of Hierapolis was founded by the King Eumenes II of Pergamum, who gave the city his wife's name Hiera (Hierapolis - the city of the Hiera). The holy Philip died in Hierapolis as a martyr in the year 80 A.D. Hierapolis was a bishop seat for a long time. Visit of the Philippus's church, the theatre and the remaining ruins in Hierapolis. To the north and the east of the city walls lies the necropolis, the city of the dead. Hierapolis was a rich city, whose economic basis was textile industry. Many grave inscriptions such as cattle breeders and weavers are the evidence of this activity. Pamukkale was also famous by its hot water sources, which transformed the rock slope of the city into white lime (Photo break). Laodikeia, was famous for its wool and cloth industry and it was one of the richest cities of the Anatolia which we owe the old techniques of the silk and wool production. Visit Tavas which lies in the proximity of Hierapolis and it is the largest carpet center of Turkey. Dinner and overnight will be in Pamukkale. (103 km)

Day Six
Pamukkale, Miletus & Ephesus
Drive to Miletus through tobacco and cotton fields. Miletos was the hometown of the founder of nature philosophy Thales. St. Paul visited this city on his third missionary journey, and he said good-bye for the last time, to the members of the Christian municipality of Ephesos, after Jerusalem. There is also big theatre complex in Miletos. Later visit a small picturesque Aegean village called Şirince in which you can find old houses with traditional architecture, narrow lanes and friendly village inhabitants who produce and sell handcrafts, cloths, oil, olive oil, fruit and wine in front their houses. See local people playing tavla in tea houses, an unforgettable local atmosphere... Dinner and overnight in Kusadası. (313 km)

Day Seven
Ephesus
Visit of the St.John's church, the traditional funeral place of St. John. Detailed tour of Ephesus where St. Paul had his main influence (Rev. 2,1-7) and his municipality. You can see lots of impressing buildings and monuments from the Roman era such as agoras, collanaded streets,temples, Celsus library, theatre with 24.000 seats. Visit of the church of St. Mary near Ephesus where the third ecumenical council of 431 AD took place. Artemis temple which was once one of the Seven Wonders of the World is located near Ephesus. Also you can find gold, decoration and souvenirs in Ephesus. Dinner and overnight in Kusadası. (40 km)

Day Eight
The end of our service
After from breakfast transfer to the Izmir Airport for flight back home. ( 75 km )
